What is Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant?

Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant capsules are a treatment for allergy symptoms that can also help to clear a blocked or runny nose. If you find that congestion is a regular problem for you during hay fever season or after you’ve come into contact with pet fur or dust mites, this treatment can help to clear your airways while managing your other allergy symptoms. Benadryl Plus can be taken by adults and children over the age of 12, ideal for when your allergies are making you uncomfortable and you need a reliable way to clear that blocked nose and reduce pressure in your sinuses.

What is hay fever?

Hay fever is an allergy to pollen, which is created by plants over the spring and summer months. If you get pollen into your system, your body will respond and try to get rid of it, creating a natural substance called histamine to trigger allergic symptoms. This leaves you experiencing irritating symptoms like sneezing, coughing, a blocked nose, or itching.

Why do I get a blocked nose when I have hay fever?

Lots of people get a blocked or runny nose during hay fever season, and like all of your other symptoms, it happens because your body is trying to protect itself from pollen. The blood vessels in your nose can swell up when you have an allergic reaction, making your nasal passages narrower and making it more difficult for you to breathe. Because the amount of space in your nose is reduced, the built up mucus in your nose has nowhere to go but out, causing a runny nose and making you sneeze.

How will Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant help to ease my allergy symptoms and congestion?

Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant capsules use two active ingredients to ease congestion and other allergy symptoms. The first ingredient, acrivastine, is an antihistamine, which blocks the histamine produced in your body due to allergies, relieving allergy symptoms quickly. The second ingredient is pseudoephedrine, a decongestant which reduces swelling in your nasal passages and sinuses, clearing your airways and reducing pressure in your head. This combination of ingredients is especially effective if your allergies cause a blocked or runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, or itchy eyes, nose, ears, or throat.
