What is Vicks Sinex Soother?
Vicks Sinex Soother is a nasal spray that can help to ease congestion in your blocked nose. It’s ideal for when you have a cold or rhinitis caused by an allergy, hay fever, or viral infection. Vicks Sinex Soother gets to work fast, working in just a few minutes and helping to ease congestion for up to 12 hours with each dose.
Why have I got a blocked nose?
There are lots of reasons why you may have a blocked nose, it’s a common problem and it usually isn’t anything to worry about. Some of the most common causes of a blocked nose are a cold and rhinitis, which can both cause inflammation in your nasal passages, giving you less room to breathe as excess mucus builds up. A blocked nose will usually go away on its own when the cause, such as the cold or allergy, has cleared up.
How will the oxymetazoline hydrochloride in Vicks Sinex Soother help to relieve my blocked nose?
The active ingredient in Vicks Sinex Soother is oxymetazoline hydrochloride, with 25mcg of the active ingredient in each spray. Oxymetazoline is a decongestant which works by constricting the swollen blood vessels in your nose, helping to reduce inflammation and giving you more room to breathe. It works within just a few minutes and the effect can last for up to 12 hours at a time, perfect for when you have a cold or rhinitis.
